β’ I'd like for Aranea to go back to her roots and start picking up mercenary-like jobs in the future, but before that she'd need to network first with people and build a trustworthy reputation with the locals. I'd like for her to start with somehow getting a job at Trinket's Pawn shop (perhaps as the shop's security/courier? since Worth might have some rare items that may need extra protection in case someone gets the wrong idea and tries to steal them) and getting to know Worth, who in turn, tells her about the Ruby Underground little by little, eventually connecting her to Red.
β’ Between Worth's pawn shop and Red's wares, Aranea gets a foothold as a pretty reliable middleman between the two, especially during times when Red has his eyes on one-of-a-kind items that need appraised by/sold to/bought from Worth. Occasionally Worth sends her out to run some errands relevant to the shop's daily business, from manning the shop while Worth's on lunch break to picking up a very valuable item from a rich client, to strong-arming a couple of indecisive clients to sell their goods.

codenamem, the two of them would occasionally wander around the underground to speak to the natives and do more side-quests help the locals out in whatever they may need, like free labor, smuggling food, finding lost items, and stuff like that. Just two do-gooders in the not-so-good area.
β’ I would also like to formally state that once Aranea meets and greets Balshuu, she will flirt with him relentlessly.
β€ As it turns out, Worth has been concerned about strings of petty thefts in the area. While the security isn't terrible, there's always room for improvement. Machines make errors but that's where a living, breathing gem (or, in this case, Gembonded) can fill in the gap. Aranea impresses Worth enough that she's hired almost on-the-spot. It doesn't hurt that she's also fairly attractive and might help draw people in as much as she can deter them. Hey, it's thinking practically!
Eventually, Red asks Worth to connect them to some reliable people and the rest follows. Aranea does some side quests, builds up her reputation, and do dubious good in the Ruby Underground. Their efforts might even attract the attention of a local gang starting up that also will be aiding the displaced individuals with nowhere to turn but the underground for now.
Balshuu will appreciate the flirtation and likely reciprocate. While it won't go farther than that for now, he may just give her a special invitation to see him personally when Gembonded can visit Marilla.
